Day 3: Etchecolatz moved to Common Jail

The First Oral Court resolved this morning to move Miguel Osvaldo Etchecolatz – currently on trial for his responsibility in crimes against humanity during the last dictatorship – to a common jail. The Court thereby revoked the house arrest which Etchecolatz had previously enjoyed, concerned by evidence that the oppressor was keeping arms in his home in Mar del Plata. Meanwhile, the survivors of the clandestine detention centers once overseen by Etchecolatz continued to testify. [español] [italiano]
